In order to have the document notarized, you should bring with you a copy of your current unexpired state-issued form of identification, such as a passport or driver's license. Depending upon the type of document, you may also need a second person to serve as a witness.

Any document can be notarized. However, exceptions are vital records such as a birth, marriage and death certificates. Notaries can't make or certify copies of these records. You must go to the government agency that issued the certificate to get copies.
